What Is The Gospel

What is the Gospel:

Because we have all sinned we all share the same terrible consequence, particularly death which leads to Hell ( Rom 3:23; 6:23; Rev 20;14-15). But this is precisely what makes the “gospel” good news. When we were utterly helpless God stepped in and provided His Son as a means of escape. Why? Because of two things: His glory and His love (Isa 48:9-11; Rom 9:17; Romans 5:8). God not only gets the credit by taking the punishment for us but he gets to display his love by demonstrating sacrificial love despite the severity of that punishment. The gospel is the good news of salvation and is made available to all who put their faith in Jesus as their “lord” and “savior” (Phil 2:9-11).
